Post Corp Inks Deal With Cool Cards

The Postal Corporation of Jamaica (Post Corp) and Cool Corporation have agreed
to make post offices the newest retail outlets for "Cool Cards",
a line of prepaid electronic calling cards.
Cool Cards, the island's leading distributor of plastic and electronic phone cards, has invested approximately $100 million to equip all post offices with the necessary point of sale materials and to promote the venture. Read More...

Jamaica's telegraph service will cease operations as of January 31 next year,
says Cable & Wireless Jamaica's director of corporate communications, Errol
Miller.
A telegraphic service was established between Kingston and Havana from 1869, thus linking the island with the USA and Europe even before a domestic postal service had been established.
